In addition it would be very cool if TV Mosaic could also be integrated and used as an alternative to the existing old although still venerable TV server, is there a chance of that?
As far as I understood from the description, it is a normal DLNA/Web server, so it can be integrated into Online Video for viewing.

I am not so sure about that it is a stand alone TV sever that utilises whatever tuners, IPTV etc that are available to the PC. What I was suggesting is a proper integration into MP 1 such that it replaces the current TV server including all its recording, epg etc. etc. capabilities and is directly accessible via the TV icon in the home menu as per the beta implementation in MP2 (should be included with the next MP2 release) and for the same reasons see here MP2 - V2.5 - TVMosaic Provider for MP2 for more details.

Well, for this at least need to write a Client for the server, as far as this is realistic, I do not know.

It would appear that is what was done for MP2 or at least a modification of the existing client and presumably for the next release the client will be able to use any of the 3 (TV 3, TV 3.5 and TV Mosaic) TV servers. Is that not possible for MP 1?

I don't know, but I don't think it's that simple. I just don't use TV in Mediaportal and I try not to get into the TV part, especially since it is frozen on TV3, maybe in TV3.5 almost everything is ready, but I haven't even looked what kind of changes there.

Just Info: MP2 will from coming version 2.5 not support TVE3 anymore, just TVE3.5 and TVMosaic due to full transition to .NET6. But still x86 and x64 are both supported, so it seems we do not need to drop x86 support yet :)

As I understand it the TV3.5 MP 2 uses is a much reduced but working version of the originally planed new TV server which it seems is unlikely ever to be completed. This was why the TV Mosaic, which is a much more state of the art TV server and recently went freeware, looks to be a very attractive option for updating and improving MP 2 and I think it could do the same for MP 1.

Maybe, but I personally don't need TV, I don't see the point in it. We can only watch old soap operas on TV, and not always.

As the IPTV of our TVServer 3
I then works, then not, but to run it and it worked, you have to add libraries and the like, in general, out of the box it does not work, that's true.
But I did not follow what's up with TVE3.5 and why we can not go to him. I've seen threads with discussion and at a cursory glance it worked in MP1.
it wouild be great to have Mosaic instead
I agree, the only thing left is to find someone who will write a client for him. Or if TVE3.5 Client already knows how to work without linking to the server, then adapt it, there in the idea should be easier than from scratch write the client.
