seems to me like you're having problems with mediaportal, not moving-pictures. In particular, codec and or DirectX problems.
Any changes lately made to your system?
I've been experiencing a similar symptom (not the same log entries though!) Where I had to disable and enable the topbar from within the MediaPortal configuration. YMMV...
Last: you should start a new thread as this seems highly unrelated to playing iso files...
