Hello all,

I downloaded the MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC1 version, installed and configured. these are the problems i've been experiencing.

1. When using some video and audio decoder configurations (MPV and MPA for example), the sound gets choppy after ~5 min. of TV watching. Dscaler ones are just fine.

2. The right arrow button on my keyboard and on my media center remote doesn't work. (this is the most annoying one) PARTIALLY SOLVED by this post

3. The timeshifting doesn't work at all. It gives "failed to start timeshifting, unable to start timeshifting" error. Then it's not possible to turn on the TV again without exiting and starting MP again because it now gives the "unable to connect to mpg2 pin" error.

4. Some weird issue is that i needed to change all the uppercase "i" characters with the lowercase one of the file names in the skin folder to make MP initialize the skin correctly.

5. I tried all the volume settings configurations but when i turn down the volume i can't turn it up again. sometimes it goes up like 2 or 3 bar and stucks there, i can turn it down though. SOLVED by this post

6. Pressing the Alt+Enter combination while watching fullscreen TV gives me a window with menu bar and solid white inside, TV seems to run because the sounds keep going.

I'm using windows vista ultimate and flydvb-trio tv card. I'll look forward for your replies regarding these issues and try to respond in any way which may be any help.

    3. The timeshifting doesn't work at all. It gives "failed to start timeshifting, unable to start timeshifting" error. Then it's not possible to turn on the TV again without exiting and starting MP again because it now gives the "unable to connect to mpg2 pin" error.

MP is not given access to write the timeshifting file in Vista for some reason but it will if you run it with administrator privileges. Open up properties for the MP launch icon and in Advanced select to run as Administrator.
