Remote: MCE (US) using IR Server Suite
TV: Hitachi 32" analog crt TV
TV - HTPC Connection: VGA to S-video 4:3 (Grandtec PC to Video EZ)

Only unexpected behavior I have noticed so far.

    - Setup Wizard doesn't see my HD Homerun tuner (although TV Server Config sees them)

    - TV Server Config scans OTA channels very slow (25 minutes to complete each HD Homerun tuner), not all channels scan properly (getting Unknown ##-## in channel list) where all channels showed up in scans in MP 0.2.3.

    - TV Channel Groups screen does not display in TV Server Config (only the title line changes) so I cannot set up my groups

I don't know if these next items are IR Server Suite issues or MP....

    - Fast-forward/Rewind/skip back and skip forward buttons on MCE Remote have no effect while playing Recorded TV (at least play, pause and stop work). The FF/RW OSD shows up as a "ghost" outline in lower half of screen ... Since I've never used it before, I don't know hat it is supposed to look like.

    - during playing of Recorded TV, Aspect function on Remote # key does not change properly to full screen.. only within a letterbox frame on my 4:3 screen. (just thought it was odd).. works fine in live TV.

    - Back button is not working, the Clear button on the remote works, though.

Thanks... everything else is exceeding my expectations. and music up-mixing (stereo to DTS 5.1) sounds phenomenal thru the GA-MA78GM-S2H HD audio S/P DIF output.

:sorry: you assume I know what I'm doing :D

Where do I find all the logs for each of these issues? I have seen logs automatically generated to my desktop when I had a crash, but otherwise, where do I look... I'm old (that's the excuse I'm using today for just being scatterbrained)

    Thanks

    Chuck

You can use the TestTool that will generate a zip with all logs.
The logs are saved under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Appdata\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\logs

Also please post only one bug report per forum thread. Otherwise the post is going to be deleted to keep the forums clean.

I'm doing a re-install to see if that will clear some things up, first.

I will try to get everything together over the next couple days.... Thanks for the suggestions :)

    After a clean re-install:

Still an issue -- Setup Wizard doesn't see my HD Homerun tuner (although TV Server Config sees them).. not a problem I can't live with.

FIXED -- TV Server Config scans OTA channels very slow (25 minutes to complete each HD Homerun tuner), not all channels scan properly (getting Unknown ##-## in channel list) where all channels showed up in scans in MP 0.2.3.

FIXED -- TV Channel Groups screen does not display in TV Server Config (only the title line changes) so I cannot set up my groups

FIXED -- Fast-forward/Rewind/skip back and skip forward buttons on MCE Remote have no effect while playing Recorded TV (at least play, pause and stop work). The FF/RW OSD shows up as a "ghost" outline in lower half of screen ... Since I've never used it before, I don't know hat it is supposed to look like.

FIXED -- during playing of Recorded TV, Aspect function on Remote # key does not change properly to full screen.. only within a letterbox frame on my 4:3 screen. (just thought it was odd).. works fine in live TV.

Still an issue -- Back button is not working, the Clear button on the remote works, though. (looks like an IR Server issue... all buttons work in built-in MCE Remote support)

So far, this is the most stable version I have installed (after the initial snag)

Thanks for a very satisfying media experience!

    Chuck

You can remove my complaining if you desire. I think I've seen some discussion on the 2 remaining points elsewhere, so this thread is moot.

Dead Backbutton issue resolved by activating internal MCE Remote support AND using the new IR Server Test version.

    I'm much happier! :D
