Someone still has some comment to my display resolution ???
Now using 720x480 for safety, but believe I can do higher but don't know wich resolution is possible on CRT Widescreen TV (Philips 100Hz / 0,5 years old)...

What standard does your country use (PAL or NTSC)?
For PAL you want to be using a 720x576 resolution and NTSC its 720x480 as you currently have it.

Any higher than this is pointless as CRT TVs (unless its HiDef) will just rescale the higher resolutions back down. Loose clarity that way...

Well I'm from The Netherlands and the standard here is PAL.

I've now changed the resolution to 720x576 and I must say that the picture quality is even better than it was! Really great.
When I watch movies from the HTPC it looks better then my Pioneer DVD-player....

The only thing which is annoying, is the widescreen settings...
I have to switch very often, but think that's just problem from mister Philips who've made my TV....

Now everything is working fine, except my Tuner...

Maybe I'd better start a seperate topic on that issue.

Well, my problems with the TV-Engine are solved.

It was a problem with the FloppyDTV itself. Contacted the manufacturer and they've helped me really great.

    No more problems now....

Just wondering does FloppyDTV recognize MediaPortal and help out with the application?

Yes they support every application that has support for their device. Most supported application is MyTheatre because they deliver it with that in the softwarebundle.

Now they're creating MCE-drivers for DVB-C and DVB-S, as many people are asking for that.

Overall I think the FloppyDTV is the best supported tuner in Mediaportal, also because Frodo owns it himself...
