Any recommendation for a good DVB-S2 Card (with or without CI Slot?)
Currently I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV 88x Video Card, which could be replaced.
In addition I got a FloppyDTV /CI for DVB-C. Anybody using two FireDtv / FloopyDTV-Cards in the same System?
Any help highly appreciated.

I am happy with my Technisat Skystar HD2 (same hardware as the Twinhan AD-SP400)

TechniSat SkyStar HD 2 PCI: Amazon.de: Elektronik

It has an own power connector (does not stress the PCI power bus of motherboard), it is low-profile and cheap (I payed 65 € bei amazon.de incl. delivery). CI-Modul is available for 29 €.

My older TT S2-3200 has problems with LNB power supply and had problems with older drivers. It is much bigger also. I was not so happy with it at the beginning. But now both cards work well with MP 1.0 RC4 (no channel scan issues, quick channel change times, no issues with resume-after-standby).

Floppy DTV is an option, but it is more expensive (150-160 € with CI), big and needs a firewire connection (and 1 is already in use in your setup I guess).

Do you have any problems with DISEqC on MP 1.0?

no, as I just disable it. I do not have a motorized dish.

There are tons of forumthreads about the problem of S2-3200 with power output through antenna cable. You can read everywhere that the power controller chip burns out quite fast, but it can be replaced easily. (I forgot the part number, but it can be bought for 3-5 €)

I'm using a Terratec Cinergy S2 PCI HD card and it works like a dream ...

I would suggest that you compare the three cards: Twinhan AD- SP400 (sold as Azurevawe), teratec Synergy S2 and Technisat Skystar HD2 :D

The sticker on the main chip and the board color is really different :)

BTW do you use a CI with your card? I am planing to buy a Diablo cam and would like to know if it works with MP.

I'm also considering DVB-S2 card for my new HTPC configuration and I have one more question in this topic. All those mentioned cards have dedicated remote control included. Since I'm using iMON at the moment and I want to reuse it in my new case, is it possible to control all TV functionalities in Media Portal with only one remote, preferably iMON? IMON is attached via USB and those cards need separate receiver, so I'm a little confused here.

Yes, you can control all the features of MP through iMON remote.
Although I prefer not using this remote, because I always need to come closer to my PC to switch channels or to browse MP.

Thx, but I'm still confused. Why do you have to come closer? Too long distance from your sofa to the receiver ? I don't get it, unless you have 200'' screen :D
