A good DVB-T card to MP (1 Viewer)

Hi

I am looking for a DVB-T tuner card to my MP setup. But I don’t know what to buy. I hope someone in this forum can give me an advice.

I have a Hauppauge PVR-350 that I would like use together with a DVB-T card. Also is it possible to buy a dual DVD-T card?

Hi Nielsen,

I have a Terratec 2400i (PCI-E) and I'm very happy with it. It is a dual-tuner DVB-T card. Had a Twinhan 3040 before but it could not cope with S3 standby.

This is the one i use, dual head at little extra cost, also comes with a pinnacle remote control that you can get working with mp with some config adjustments

Not neccessary as in\out mpeg2 for SD transmissions, HD is different and will need decoding with a suitable codec.

What about a Hauppauge “WinTV NOVA-T-500 - DVB-T / PCI” Anyone have experience with that card?
Does MP support it?

Had a T500 for a short while and it worked OK but also had the problem with S3 standby. When my HTPC resumed from standby it screwed up the USB-bus and I had to restart. Similar to the Twinhan I mentioned above.

just to make sure: S3 = Hibernate? Or standby? or is it the same.

Hi Nielsen,

There are two standby modes, S1 and S3. Both of them standby, i.e. computer still running but most of it in low-power mode. Hibernate means power-off and the state of the machine saved to disc.

S1 is "light" low-power, while in S3 more functions are turned off.

Also looking for a good DVB-T PCI card. It should work with my VIA Mini-ITX M10000 motherboard, which I'm planning on using for a TV-server. Any good ideas or recommendations?
