I have just rebuilt my HTPC replacing my Intel motherboard (DH77DF) with an ASUS P8H77-I. The reason for the rebuild was because the Intel motherboard would not boot with the DigitalNow Quad tuner card installed, so after much heartache I went to the ASUS alternative.
My problem is that with Mediaportal 1.5 installed and the quad tuner drivers loaded I can only get a few of the local free to air (DVB-T) channels these comprise the ABC and SBS channel ranges. I note that under Windows Media Centre (WMC) I can get the full range of local broadcast stations.
So there you have it, same tuner card but different software. Is this something other members have experienced? Is it a signal strength related issue? Or, is it just MediaPortal?
I look forward to any feedback you can provide. I ran Mediaportal 1.4 for some months before the rebuild and really loved the functionality and presentation, so would hate to go back to WMC.
