about recording channels (1 Viewer)

Hi is it possible to record encrypted channels, i am not discussing decryption / mdapifilter ..etc , here , for example like tscapture.com , record encrypted , it record fully to TS file and then can decode later like with TSDEC, but with media portal , it is recorded but there is no encrypted content in ts file , is that normal or am i missing some settings?

No, that is not possible with MediaPortal. There is no CI/CAM hardware that I'm aware of which is capable of decrypting a non-live stream from a tuner.

It is normal. MediaPortal decrypts the stream before writing to HDD. There is no setting.

I am not expecting to decrypt the TS stream and not willing to use CI/CAM , just expecting to get encrypted TS streams from tuner like software from tscapture.com . But now i am clear it is normal.

Any idea , is there any opensource software to capture full ts streams from tuner?

No, I don't know any off the top of my head... because usually software is meant to do something more than capture the stream. It would be easy to modify MediaPortal to do it... but again, what is the purpose for doing this?

Just want to study encrypted streams and how it works , basically tscapture meet my requirement , but it is not opensource , it is written in .net but main library is NPVRTSMon.ax , source code not available , may be i should study TSWRITER.ax
