Ich Schaue TV per IPimp auf dem IPad , was jetzt auch ganz gut funktioniert . Versuche aber mich hier im Forum
weiter schlau zu lesen um das Ganze evtl. noch zu optimieren . Dabei bin ich im IPimp-Wiki auf folgendes gestossen :

Live_Streaming

iPiMP uses uses video streaming technology by CodeShop to bring live Smooth Streaming of TV channels.

The Smooth Streaming feature can generates a single adaptive bitrate stream which can be played on the iPhone as
well as with Silverlight or Flash players. Adaptive bitrate means that the quality of the video/audio
can be adjusted depending on the network connection you have, so higher bitrates when you're on wifi and
lower if you're on 3G or Edge

Bedeutet das , dass ich irgendwo die Qualität des Streams einstellen kann ? Würde mich interessieren ob ich eine
geringere Qualität wählen kann , wenn ich z.B. mit dem IPad im Garten sitze wo ich auf Grund der grösseren Entfernung
zum Router nicht mehr den besten WLan Empfang habe .

I watch TV via iPIMP on the iPad and it works fine . i found this in iPIMP :

Does this mean that I can adjust the quality of the stream? Would be interested if I have a
lower quality, for example if I watch TV with the IPad in the garden because of the greater distance
to the router i have not the best WiFi connection .

The Adaptive Bitrate is not available in iPiMP yet, I'm still trying to get the base streaming components stable first.

You can manually change the bitrate currently configured by amending the ffmpeg transcoding parameters, these are defined in c:\program files\ipimp\aspx\config.xml
