Would it be possible to add the bitrate and change the color of the text (see picture1)?
Moving the text to the right should be better (see picture2).

I was wondering if its also possible to EASILY change the home screen.

I mean i am using the plugin "TV-Gemist" and i would like to see it in the home screen instead of Music Vids for instance.
Now i have to press the up button and choose the V button (next to the exit button) on the "white" screen to show more plugins and to click on the plugin i want.

thats what i also wanted and so i changed the basichome.xml file and made a button for "tv-gemist".
you must also add a map "gemist" in the animations map and put some pictures in it for the backgrounds.

C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Aeon Wide\Media\Animations

the 2 tv-gemist.png files you must put in the folder

C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Aeon Wide\Media\

and you must also add a folder "gemist" where you can add some backgrounds

C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Aeon Wide\Media\Animations

Hi,

how can I change the color of the font ? White on grey is kind of hard to read from a 5 meter distance - even on 60".

Also the "light grey" on black in MyTvseries (on the top, where the series name is diplayed) is rather impossible to read from a distance, how can I change that ?

I´m new to skinning so please be patient....

Go to the TVSeries.xml file in your skin map and find the 'TOP/BOTTOM TITLES' section. You will have to change the 'Top title 2'.
For example:

The codes for the colors can be found here.
It must be: ff+color code. In the example above its the yellow1 color code. Hope this helps...

I have been doing some work on the tvseries section of the aeon skin, ive attached a couple of images showing what its looking like but there is a bit of work to be done. If there is anyone is interested in using the layout ill upload it here!

Although I've read about re-linking, so to speak, the Music Vids and such Basic Home menu items, would some one be so kind as to show me how to remove them completely (in either this or Aeon Alpha which seems to share a very similar XML)?

I'm hoping for a Basic Home side-scrolling menu without any instance of My Music Vids or Play DVD.

If anyone has the time to show me the edits, or even to hack up the XML for me I as well as my folks and in-laws would be very grateful.

And of course, much appreciation to Psycho Reptile and spuck for these wicked skins. Cheers, mates.

Edit: Please let me say that I have these plugins disabled in MP Confguration (as this bit of research led me to, with no sucess). As these items don't show up in the "normal" vertical Home menu I've assumed plugins are not the issue.

Lol it isn't a button, its just there as it is the indicator for my imon remote, I took the screenshot on my pc. I have more work to do on it but I can upload what ive done if your keen.

A few notes though
- I have designed it to work with graphical series view and text season view so keep that in mind.
-I still have to add a few things and refine a be it a little but a little glitch testing wouldnt be a bad thing
