I want to say how much i love this version of Aeon. i use it on a 1280x720 screen and it is almost perfect. The only problem i had was with the font, couldnt get it to load, even when deleting cache.I always ended up wih the default font.What i ended up doing was just copy the fonts dir from another skin and put it in Aeon Wide folder. So now i have another font but it works!

New Screens

Hi guys, I’m not sure if anyone else is working on this but I had a go at reworking a few of the Aeon files to my liking. Attached in some screenshots. If anyone is interested I can upload the xmls and pngs. I redid Tvseries to show more fanart, TV server, TV guide and TV fanart download page.

My screen is 16:10 so certain elements will be squashed on a 16:9 display, but it shouldn’t be too tricky for someone to fix. Also I’ve only just started skinning so they are not the neatest xml files. If people like them maybe someone could tidy them up.

How did you change it to 16:10? can i just photoshop the background png's to make it 16:9 or will more work be involved?

Could anybody change the skin a bit to look more like it?
I like to have all info on the bottom and more room for fanart/backdrops... Since that is what this skin is all about.

Am I missing something here? I downloaded both xml files but can't seem to get to that screen? Is it because of your above comment and the main screen hasn't changed yet?

Thanks for the feedback. Attached is the tvseries.xml and required graphics files. As I say I’m not very experienced with skinning, so I’ve put comments in the xml where I think a more experienced skinner needs to fix my sloppy coding.

I should also mention that I have separated out my backgrounds into a TVseries folder (not just a tv folder), meaning that people will either need to create their own TVseries background folder or change the imagepath in the xml.

ThaClown I did very little to it for my 16:10 screen, I think all I did is adjust the Season covers. They will be squashed for 16:9 users, should be a quick xml fix. Though it may all looked a bit cramped on a 16:9 screen I’m not sure.

I might have a go at redoing it all with the info at the bottom, but I’m also pushed for time (I have a PhD due in week :/). After that i may have more time on my hands.

Can someone help me with font i really do like Bell Gothic Bold BT and i really would like to get it to work.
I have "Bell Gothic Bold BT.ttf" installed in my windows/fonts dir, i deleted the fonts cache of Aeon Wide, relaunched MP and all i have is a default ugly font.
Using the cache fonts of another skin it works but it s not "Bell Gothic Bold BT".
I use the last SVN version of MP and in the fonts.xml all fonts are like that
<filename>Bell Gothic Bold BT</filename>

Can someone help?
