This works great for me. One problem.

On the home screen instead of a horizontal menu bar, I get a vertical one. Anyone know how to fix this?

(i'm new.)

edit: well i figured out there are two home screens....... weird. how do i go to the horizontal one by default?

also, i cannot get the weather to let me pick a city.

weather.com change the way data was accessed from them after MP1.0RC1 release, so to correct this you need latest svn download (link top right MP homepage).

Also if not working on windows normal 96dpi setting you may not the the ok\confirm select box.

Im not quite sure what you mean by this, but ill take a guess. You want the fanart to change with each series as you scroll through the different sereies banners instead of just a random multi image background?

This is a good suggestion and won't take long to implement!

ps in regards to your other question yes thats also possible, the title is set to scoll, however the width of the textbox is set way to big so the need to scroll is never activated. Ive attached the fixed xml

You sure you replaced the xml file right, it takes a second or so to start scrolling, I have attached an image of a title half way through scrolling.

I have some disappointing news, Mirk just discovered that each image loads into the RAM and only a certain amount can be used, so once there is too many movies the fanarts will stop loading. So the fanart is an option but your movie collection can't be massive.

I think im going to continue working on the tvseries screen and the myfilms plugin screen for now (although movies in myvideos is handled ok, as soon as your movies change path at all you have to rescan = pain in the ass) I doubt there is much interest for that though as most people don't use myfilms.

I have managed to have the fanart for the current tvseries selection show as you scroll through the banners, while also using a unique fan art folder however it is a little slower when flicking through the series. This is because the images have to load into the ram (similar to the movie fanart). Once you have flicked through the all the banners the fan art is all loaded and its as quick as normal. Let me know if you would like to try this particular method of fanart as it looks better and you can have a unique fanart folder just for that skin (thaclown im looking at you).

Great work mattsk, just one suggestion:
You "hardcode" the different information (metadata like Network that shows on hover/selection, etc.) in the skin (what shows where). This makes it hard especially for new users to customize this (maybe somebody wants to display something else, or change the order, and with each update they have to redo their changes.

May I therefor suggest you make use of Formatting Rules (see wiki for documentation on that) so users can easily (well...at least without changing xml/skin files) customize this stuff.

I'm interested in how you pulled that one off, same "trick" as for movie fanart? I personally wouldn't want that (1 because its slow, and even if its fast I think it creates too much action on the screen (scroll down 20 series quickly and it'd be dangerouse for epiliptics even I think )
