At first i wanna say that i love aeon skin.. it's awesome.... great work

but i have a little problem. just got the new svn version from: https://mp-plugins.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mp-plugins/trunk/skins/aeon
hope that's the right path...
but with this version there is no background in the my-tv screen. its just black and you can't see the highlighted options.

andybody got a solution or maybe it's my url to the repository???

yes hawkeye i download it, but interpeted the question wrong. it was about the backgrounds for that screen..

No need to do that.
The problem only happens with the tvseries.xml of mattsk88. With the original file, everything goes perfect.
But I prefer the design from mattsk88

What is the problem with the xml? It might be somehting small that needs changing (works fine on my system), or it could just be the way the mp tvseries plugin is set up, ill take a screenshot of what my mp tvseries settings look like ok.

Alright, haven't seen this problem posted yet.

I downloaded mattsk88's version of tvseries, but the genre and airdate show up as "#tv.series.genre" "#tv.series.airdate"

I have tried reinstalling his .xml, but no dice. anyone help me out? thanks.

Check the mp tvseries settings I posted above thats how my mptvseries is set up and its working fine, I havent really tested any other settings within mp. Post up your settings screen and screenie of error if your stuck.

Thanks for your help... the common.widow.tv.xml helped... but still i have a little problem:
I attatched a screenshot. On the screenshots it doesn't look that bad, but on the tv i can't see it...
It's the selection Background. It's black on a very dark panel...
Can you tell me which image that is and i would replace it with a lighter one...

Oh yes... and an other thing. My mainmenu is vertical. If i hit the Button on the top to change it, it changes to horizontal but as soon as i move the mouse its kind of white ......

I have tweaked my layout slightly plus added big banners with this experimental tvseries xml. I have a couple of weeks with not much to do, so I will be refining most elements of the aeon skin and releasing a kind of completed skin with detailed documentation, with different layout choices which will make it easier for most users that don't want to dig into the xml files to do much stuff. I have also attached a videooverlay xml moving the video overlay to the top left hand corner of the screen so it doesnt mess with the layout.

Changes Done
-New Background File reduced opacity to 80% (add tvseries_background80%.png to media directory)
-Added Season banner above information on main screen
-Scrolling episode titles so they no longer overlap the thumbnails
-Rating added to episodes
-Big TVseries Banners

p.s tha_clown I checked out the fanart scenario with the two different folder locations but I don't think it's possible from the skinning end however I will investigate further.

I like this look, but specifically in the Season / Episode views. I have over 250 series so in the series view i need to maximise the amount of banners on screen so i dont scroll for ever Also, the fan art really only comes into play once you have selected the series, so thats where i would prefer to have maximum visibility and where this look comes into its own! Buts thats my personal opinion

I dont know why, but, as I sais, ur version of tvseries.xml makes my MP to freeze and I have to exit from MP. With the default file it dont happen. I have no idea about what can be the reason

For anyone still having problems editing the Basichome, I've written a small tool that will automatically generate it for you based on the windows you've selected. I started a thread for it here - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/aeon-274/aeon-menu-generator-41980/

Another tvseries flavour

First off let me say i really love this skin!!

As many others i too have had a go at the tvseries xml. I liked what Mattsk88 did to the tvseries layout, lowering the info panel and with the bigger banners. However i wanted it a bit bigger so it could show three banners at a time. In the process i tweaked some other parts as well.

As i mentioned this xml is based on what Mattsk88 posted. So if you want to use this xml please download the tvseries_background80%.png background image from this post.

The Aeon skin is ment for 1366x768 resolution but i was unable to test it at that resolution. Looks good at 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 though. I didn't look at the grouped view so that is still a bit messy.

To get the star rating to work add the following Output Formatting Rule in MP-TV Series Configuration tab MediaPortal Display Control.
Enabled: [v]
Format: <Episode.RatingPath>
in the following way: TVSeries\starEval(10*Round(<Episode.Rating>*2)/2).png

To remove the First Aired info from the episode list clear the third textfield for 'Episode Listing Format:' in MP-TV Series Configuration tab MediaPortal Display Control
