tvinfo: the infotext of the program is too far up(starts above background img), some controls/items seem to be out of place
Hi,

same problem here. Which resolution are you running? It's probably due to your res not being 1366x768.

yes, i´m running @ 1280x720, so that´s probably the reason.

edit: ok, hooked up the laptop to a 1360x768 tv - things are still out of place...gonna try and adjust the tv xmls

Playlist screen in music section has a misplaced texture, and some double info due to import from common.window.music.

I fixed this a long time ago, and forgot about it, but when I started using the new version yesterday I noticed it again.

Edit:

Ok fixed it again, attached is screenies of flawed/fixed versions + the file you need to replace.

Here are the skin files for For The Record, I have gone though these and updated them - they are not 100% pefect but should be fully usable.

Will go over them in more detail after the weekend and sort any issues....

Very cool! :D

If/when these are finished enough feel free to upload them on the For The Record forum and I'll also make sure they are included in the next release so they'll be installed automatically.

Thanks!

Altered BasicHome.xml for use with JakeyMouses plugin.

I've also altered the Menu Generator to support this BasicHome. See Menu Generator thread for more info and download link.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work you lot put into this, this is by far the best skin for MediaPortal. I think the devs should think about using this for the default skin, it just needs a 4:3 version.

Just a thought, have you thought of making a add-on for the skin that downloads extra background images? I know we can add more are self but most people (including me) like the idea of extra backgrounds but can't be bothered to find them.

    Recorded TV List Display broken

Wow, what a great skin. Love your work guys. I've just installed Aeon Wide 1.0 on MP 1.0RC2, added some custom backgrounds and I can't help myself just cruising around the skin! :D

The only problem I've struck so far is one that I came across in the latest version of my previous skin, XFace, and now I'm seeing it too in Aeon Wide: the program descriptions in My Recorded TV are missing from List view. The descriptions are there in icon view, though. There was a fixed version of the xml file posted in the XFace thread, but I couldn't find anything here. Icon view is fine for the moment, but would love to have list view back.

    Cheers,

    Rob.

This is a vast collection of genuine 1080p backdrops. Many have been recomposed using professional image software to suit the Aeon menubar.

Once you have download what you want, place the images here:

    C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Aeon wide\Media\Animations

If its Movie backdrops place them in the movies folder, if they are music backdrops place them in the music folder ect.

There's no need to rename the images they work fine the way they are, just place them in the right folder and they will work.

As much as I would like to see more 4x3 skins, this skin design, IMHO, just doesn't fit the layout. 4x3 displays become cluttered very quickly, and the need to use larger fonts for readability really kills the open space this design needs, and the resolution demanded by the skin is lost in most 4:3 TV's.

4:3 CRT TV's will be around for a few more years (I will have one until it dies, or a lightning strike :D ) So the most one could ask is for something along the line of Purevision 4X3, Monochrome 4x3 or Indigo 4X3, etc. All with clean, readable and well organized designs.

IMO 4:3 is dead already and has been for quite some time... sorry ;)
And especially Aeon is a backdrop based skin, all backdrops are widescreen so 4:3 is no option for Aeon....
