If I play the files with PowerDVD or Windows Media player, everything runs fine.</p><p></p><p>The tearing is visible whether I am using my BenQ monitor, or the Toshiba television.</p><p></p><p>I've tried using every decoder in the list, as well as playing with the Dynamic refresh rate settings, but no luck.</p><p></p><p>Several posts I've read of other people having the same issue, all point to turning on Aero in Vista and that seems to fix almost all of the problems.</p><p></p><p>My problem is that, I went the cheap route, and bought Vista Home Basic, which doesn't have Aero....
