Hello!

I first installed mediaportal using old drivers for my technisat card. I did a scan and it found all channels on my 2 sats (sirius and thor). But I was having some issues with stability so I updated the driver and after that mediaportal only found HD channels. I removed all channels and did a rescan and it only came up with a few HD channels.

I uninstalled mediaportal, the clean uninstallation and redid the scan, same result. So I downloaded a beta of DVB viewer and did a scan and it found all channels. So it doesnt seem to be the card, my setup or the driver. Just mediaportal. Any ideas?

    Hi Zulan

Please provide fuller information. It is really important to use the correct drivers for certain TechniSat cards (I think the Skystar S2 and Skystar 2). I can't find any "Technisat PC Star" card on TechniSat's website so I guess you're using a Skystar, but there are too many SkyStar variations for me to guess which variation you're using.

I found that there was a driver rollback option in win 7 that I didnt know about. So I rolled back to my old driver since it wasnt available for download. Now things work good enough. While searching it seems to be common knowledge that these drivers suck in general and I think I can't expect more of it then it performs now.
