Again - Medion SAA7134 Hybrid Capture Card (3 Viewers)

hello,

im having a problem getting my Creatix SAA7131 Hybrid TV Card to work in mediaportal, i used to have a PVR-150 wich worked fine, but my dad stole it and gave me this piece of junk

it came with a medion PC, and i want to use it with an analog signal, does anybody know how i can fix this?

I have almost the same problem, except my card can find the channels, and it says that it has full strength and quality, but when i try to watch the channel it just sat no signal... it the same analogue card...

any ideas

edit: i works perfectly in powercinema 3, and problem started after a reinstall of windows... it worked before.....

I also have been unable to get the medion analog (philips chip) working. I seem to be getting a running graph (TV outputted to MPG File), but it does not work if I am also decoding the stream.

I have no solution yet and would hope for someone else to find one.

how did you get mediaportal to recognise the card? mine just says that it cant find any capture cards

It used to work for me but suddenly started crashing. I gave up on MP and started using Power Cinema instead, always thinking MP was better - when it worked. Saw the new version 0.2.3.0 and installed that instead of 0.2.2.0 and now it wont even find my cards. I used the old entry for the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml but it still doesn't work.

It pains me to use PowerCinema instead of MP - it really does... please help

I've tried editing the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml but just can't get anything to work

mediaportal works fine on my other pc that has the MEDION SAA7131

mediaportal knocks the crap out of power cinema & wipes the floor with Media Canter

Kind of a fix

I found out how to make it work.

I uninstalled MP totally. Then i downloaded MP 0.2.3.0 and installed that (it's important to remove the old installation first). Don't start the setup yet.

Download the latest SVN of Media Portal and install that. Download the latest SVN of TV Server and install that. Also install the MP Client Plugin you find in the TVServer zip. Reboot and config.

I had to reboot and reconfig a few times then suddenly my Medion SAA7134 Hybrid Capture Card started working again
