Yes, you find these kind of polls on every forum.
    Still, kind of interesting.

    My first guess:

    The typical htpc user is...

... a student in a 10 m² studio with no space for pc and TV
    or
... a kind of settled familiy father in his 30th

    :)

    My second guess:

There is none under age 15 and above 50 on this forum. But who knows?

P.S. I belong to the second group. Allthough growing out of the 30th soon :)

It seems that I am in the minority, age-wise, being 64 years old this coming May!

Regardless, I'm pretty pleased (and a bit proud) that I have managed to impress my wife, family and friends with my HTPC.I'm a network engineer, but programming and writing code. other than scripts, are totally foreign to me

Perhaps, one of the things I have learned, being a bit older, is to do something that "Real Men" don't do - RTFM! (Read The Fine Manual)
Like many others, I have MP singing like an 'opera singer" without having
to post a question or problem (YET!)

Looking at this project, the developers and the folks that are the users and testers, and the age demographics, I am pretty impressed with you younger people and what you are doing. You are all, obviously, working on a labor of love and are excited about what you are doing.

Thanks for your efforts - please put me on the "good guy" list in case
I have to post a question?

Now, if I can only figure out how to map channels, like I did in the .04
without having to edit each one individually ........
