I'd like to ask a follow on question to the topic discussed in the thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/support-101/albumart-not-displayed-29262/
I have the following file layout for my MP3s:
MP3\albums\artist-album_name
MP3\singles\artist-single_name
MP3\various\compilation_name
MP3\mixed
I have a folder.jpg in all folders except in "MP3\mixed", in "mixed" I have both ID3 tags and filename.jpg.
When I scan my folders I get the following behaviour in the "Albums" view:
- All albums in "albums", "singles" and "various" get displayed with nice covers
- All albums in "mixed" don't get a cover, if I enter the album and highlight/play a tune I see the proper cover.
I scan with the following options:
- Treat tracks in the same folder as album - Off
- Use folder.jpg - On
- Use pictures(.png, .jpg) - On
- Use ID3 coverart - On
The mixed folder is used for tunes that I buy separately or tunes that while my mates copy to my drive for their ipod. It doesn't make sense to place these files in "albums" or "singles". "mixed" has something like 4000 tunes so I don't really feel like organizing them manually...
