Hi,

Completely new to the world of mediaportal and tvcards so hope I don't mess up to bad on this forum.

I know I should have added a log file to this thread but wifey is using the computer at the moment so writing this from my mobile, if there is a need for a logfile please tell me and I'll sort it out.

I just built my first htpc running a Firedtv s2 with a Strong CAM ci+ and a canal digital smartcard. I have done a scan for channels and that's all fine, I set up Kodi so I can watch the channels there and that works flawless except for one thing. When trying to watch HD channels I just get an message that sais allcardsbusy.

I have tried to put a 1 in mediaportal on the section where the cam is activated. Hope that was understandable.

So anyone got a clue where I'm doing wrong and how I get the HD channels to work?

Cheers

Did you map the HD channels to the tvcard?

Are the HD channels encrypted?
Did you assign the CAM to the tvcard?
Hi,

If I understood your questions correctly my answers would be the following :

1) isn't that done when scanning for the channels, all channels is found during search

2) yes I believe all channels is more or less encrypted as none of them are "free"

3) yes, I called canal digital and got it assigned, before that no channels worked at all. Not even the non HD channels worked before that.

Could it be that Firedtv s2 do not support HD channels?

Posting logs is always a good way.
Note that we could examine only MEdiaportal logs. Kodi logs are unknown for us.

    Hello and welcome FlashTec :)

You will need to post the TV Server log files if you want help with this problem.
    1. Open TV Server Configuration.
    2. Click "open log directory" in the top left corner.
    3. Zip all the files in that folder.
    4. Post/attach ("upload a file") the zip file in this thread.

    1) isn't that done when scanning for the channels, all channels is found during search
    Yes, it is.

Could it be that Firedtv s2 do not support HD channels?
The FireDTV/FloppyDTV S2 itself supports receiving HD channels. However, if your provider is using CI+/CI-Plus with pairing to protect the channels then my guess is that you probably won't be able to receive the channels with a PC. There are no PC tuners with a CI slot that supports CI+/CI-Plus.

    Hello again :)

Thank you for the log files. (y)
    They're very clear:

So, SVT2 HD is not mapped to your tuner. Therefore TV Server thinks it cannot use your tuner to tune the channel.
The same issue is seen with SVT1 HD.

Please ensure you have ticked "enable DVB-S2 channels tuning/scanning" in the scanning section for your tuner:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...rver_Configuration/02_TV_Servers/3_Scan_DVB-S

...and then check that all channels are mapped to the tuner here:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...Server_Configuration/03_TV_Channels/2_Mapping

    Regards,
    mm

Hmm noticed something strange here, if I go to TV channels after a scan I can find svt 1 HD and svt 2 HD but if I look in the section for channel mapping those channels isn't in either available channels nor are they in Channels mapped to card section.

I will try to make a new channelscan tomorrow and see if they pop up from the big nothingness they seem to wonder around in at the moment :)

Like I said, make sure you have ticked "enable DVB-S2...". Also, make sure you select the FloppyDTV tuner at the top of the mapping section.

I'm rather sure I had that option activated because when I made a scan without it it didn't find any channels at all. But I'll make a new scan when I get home from work today and post the new results after that
