AMC Updater replace feature not working? (1 Viewer)

I've just been using the MyFilms Grabber script editor to update IMDB-Full as the header for the description field have changed and I noticed there are REPLACE and WITH fields in the detail tab. It has always bothered me that I get the " tags instead of normal quote marks. So I set this up.

Now when I click the 'Preview page param' button it shows correctly formatted text with real quote marks, so I assume I have it configured correctly, yet even after saving if I click the 'Preview full grab' button or run the script to update a films data it does not do the replace. Is this an error or something I've missed?

It is possible, that it is not properly decoding at some places, so main question first: Does it display properly in the plugin itself? In xml, those characters have to be encoded to meet xml specs properly - so if it is only happening in AMCupdater, I could look into it to decode before displaying it there.
