okay so i added
371 movies before seeing the IMDB fix error.

Now I am wondering. is there a SIMPLE way to process the 371 already added movies and have it auto grab the best IMDB cover it can? sinc ethe links are already in the file? should be doable with little to imput from me?

could anyone help. Aside from re processing inside AMC.

Hi takagari,

Glad you got it working. Unfortunately the grabber can't yet use the stored IMDB to improve the quality of 'second searches'. If you imported your collection with the Title set to 'File Name + Internet Lookup' then that will help, as the movie titles will be corrected. The grabber uses the Title to search IMDB.

To get AMCUpdater to import the missing pictures, only select 'Picture' on the Database Fields tab and run it again in Manual Update mode. But you will probably be prompted to choose the correct movie again for some files.

Best of luck!

Orion.

p.s. Hint - you can use the keyboard to control the Internet Lookup window more easily. Enter will accept the current entry; cursor keys will move up / down the list of results; and if the filename is incorrect then just start typing to correct it, and Enter key to search-again.

AMC Updater v0.8 Now Released

Hi All,

I've now packaged up and released v0.8 of AMCUpdater. Don't get too excited - this is the same as the current Beta versions posted in this thread! But it's packaged up nicely with the latest scripts and an installer. Source code is also available as usual.

Downloads are available from SourceForge - here

I'll be starting a new thread in the MyFilms forum for any bug reports and so on.

Cheerio for now,

Orion.
