Is there a helpfile somewhere for this app?. Ive installed it correctly( i think) and set it to update my xml file from AMC 3.5.1. It appears to run through the routine confirming the movies existence but then starts listing all my files as "orphaned" and tries to use the grabber to update them. Then it says "movie not found " for all the files.

Waht am I doing wrong please?

The grabber I'm using is the last one I could find posted in this forum for IMDB.xml . I think you posted it some time ago. Is there something else I should try that will give me English data?

error en parsing XML

Hello,
I'm just trying to import some flim with amc updater.
unfortunately, i've got an ''error parsing xml''

After search, I've found that it was a film that brake the parsing.
movy number 194

See the attachement.

As this movie was imported by ant movie, I've you an idea what's hapening ?

is there a way to get it to download the full plot instead of just the short summary? For example:

25th Hour (2002) - Plot summary

and also, can it download the first user comment?:

25th Hour (2002)

AMC's bundled IMDB script has configurable options for both of these fields - would be great if AMC Updater could do it as well.

hello, in response to above (which was posted a while ago) was any progress made? I would be very interested in this feature as well, and couldn't find anything in the thread that said it was implemented? it would involve (for the plotsummary part) going on a separate webpage, but shouldn't be overly complicated?

Update existing entries

Hi,

would it be possible to add a feature to update certain fields for entries already imported, but using say the "URL" field where the IMDB url is already stored? this would be very helpful for instance if scripts were improved to include more fields, or one wants to include slightly different information with the entries?

ok, replying to my own two posts above, it can be achieved pretty easily with the default IMDB script in ANT (just need to set it to update the fields needed, with the right setting in the batchmode option...

problem solved. two-step process, but since second one is fully automated perfectly fine (actually makes manual import process faster...
