aMPdroid for Google tv? (1 Viewer)

As I got myself a MK808 I wonder if there are any plans to place aMPDroid as frontend for MP on Android? Reason is simple - these Google TV Sticks are sexy and cheap (got mine for ~ 60US$) and the perfomance is quite good. Only that there is no application covering the need (in terms of surface) for an TV what is - well - anyoing. As aMPDroid has everything it takes to run as Client - giving it a MP like surface - would be a great thing.

First things first, I'm not planning to play local files with aMPdroid... That's not what it was created for. However as a pure client for a MediaPortal server it would be quite nice. So yeah, I'm planning (in the long run) to create either a seperate app or a different "skin" for devices like google tv / ouya.

Edit: how are this sticks performing for video playback? Can you play full hd vids on them?

I use MX Player and can stream via serviio 1080p videos with an 300mit Accesspoint without problems. As you can connect a USB devices too - well - I really need to say - wow. Angry Birds on TV is another level too

I wouldn't have thought about local files - at least as I'm using it I'm interested in getting the data from the storage to the rooms required. If you take a look at XBMC for Android - it's a defined as local Mediacenter - but what they do you can with aMPDroid too and more.

The Flymouse is working as the Wii controller and you can use both - working fine and the price is OK

does it really exist - at the moment it's more like a phantom - isn't it - I know there is the Kickstarter Project - but not much more.

Yes, but they're sending out developer editions for free to select projects... So re-tweet the last post to support aMPdroid for google-tv and similar devices...
