Hello,

since a long time I try to bring up a WIN TV PCI running in MP. I allready installed several encoder / decoder but I usaly get the error no graph can ..

In the server configuration for this analog card under settings there is no posibillity to change the video standard. There is only a greyed field??? Only the framerate is possible to change...

I found under ..\Anwendungsdaten\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\AnalogCard the following file Configuration-14-Hauppauge WinTV TvTuner.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<configuration version="2">

As You see above in red there is no videostandard ? Where does this entry come from an who to fix this problem?

Thanks

Ralph

The problem for you is related to the graph building stage. It looks like MediaPortal can't figure out how to construct a graph for your card correctly. It also can't find the appropriate audio and video encoders for your card. Does your card have hardware encoding? What is the full model name? Hauppauge should have supplied you with the encoders you need - maybe called "SoftMCE" package...

    Hello,

its a WIN TV PCI FM card from Hauppauge. Its a old card without any hardware endcoder. So I installed a softmce. The TV program coming from Hauppauge is also abel to record files.

So, I relaely have no idea what to do next...

    Thx
    Ralph

I can try to help you but there is no guarantee of success. It will take a little time and I will need more information from you...

If you want to try to make things work then the first thing I will need is information about the capture devices in your system. Please follow these instructions:

    1. Download and install GraphStudio from here.
    2. Run the program as administrator.
    3. Click on the "graph" menu, then click "insert filter" (1st item).
    4. In the top left box select "WDM streaming capture devices".
    5. In the box beside it select "all filters".
    6. Take a screenshot (so that I can see the list).
    7. Double-click on each entry in the list to insert one copy of each capture filter into the graph.
    8. Close the "filters" window by clicking on the cross in the top right corner.
    9. Click on the "graph" menu, then click "make graph screenshot".

Post the two screenshots here and I'll let you know what to do next. If you don't understand any of the instructions then just ask for help...

    Hi mephisto20

Thanks for the screenshots. Can you please provide logs too so that I can confirm that the problem on your system is the same as for ramu.

    Thank you :)

I think it would be easier to solve your problem if you guys filled in your system specs aswell... :)

    Hi again mephisto20

Okay, it looks like your problem is similar to ramu's. Technically speaking, the issue is that MediaPortal can't find the audio pin that it needs on the capture filter. At this point I think there is really only one option - to try and force MediaPortal to try and use one of the other pins. This may or may not work. In order to even try this I'm going to need some more information from you (sorry). Could you please try the DLL attached to this post and then post your logs:

    1. Stop TV Server.
    2. Back up the TVLibrary.dll in your TV Server install folder.
    3. Delete your TV Server logs.
    4. Download and extract the TVLibrary.dll attached to this post into your TV Server install folder.
    5. Start TV Server.
    6. Attempt to scan for channels using the tuner.
    7. Post the new log here.

Once I get the information I need from the log I'll be able to post a proper patch for you to try...

    :)
