I have been trying to get the analog working under the latest stable release of MP but it does not find any analog channels. Digital DVB-T channels work perfect.
Searching this forum it seems there r some issues with this. Has this been fixed and/or will it ever work?

It only finds 1 tuner card, the hybrid and doesnt seem to have an option to scan for analog channels.

Any ideas?

oh woops, looks like i didnt try clicking "add" again to add the analog card after the digital card. *red faced*

I am now getting an error "unable to create graph for device" when trying to configure the analog card.

Disaiding problem's method

Replace this sections in the file CaptureCardDefinitions.xml

<capturecard commercialname="AVerMedia A16D (Analogue)" capturename="AVerMedia BDA Analog Capture" devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_f9361461&rev_d1">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="true" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="false"/>
<tv>
<interface cat="mux" video="" audio="" mpeg2="0"/>
<filters>
<filter cat="tvtuner" name="AVerMedia BDA Analog TV Tuner" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="tvaudio" name="AVerMedia BDA Analog TV Audio" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="crossbar" name="AVerMedia BDA Analog Xbar" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="capture" name="AVerMedia BDA Analog Capture" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="videncoder" name="InterVideo Video Encoder" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="audencoder" name="InterVideo Audio Encoder" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="mux" name="AVerMedia MPEG-2 Multiplexer" checkdevice="false"/>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="tvtuner" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="crossbar" sinkpin="%tvtuner%"/>
<connection sourcefilter="tvtuner" sourcepin="1" sinkfilter="tvaudio" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="tvaudio" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="crossbar" sinkpin="%audiotuner%"/>
<connection sourcefilter="crossbar" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="crossbar" sourcepin="1" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="1"/>
<connection sourcefilter="capture" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="videncoder" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="capture" sourcepin="3" sinkfilter="audencoder" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="videncoder" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="mux" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="audencoder" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="mux" sinkpin="1"/>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>
And install this codec's - InterVideo Audio Encoder and InterVideo Video Encoder.

If to change nothing, then it is necessary to establish codec AverMedia. Earlier it went in the complete set of delivery with Software AverMedia. Now to establish codec AverMedia MPEG Video Encoder and AverMedia Audio Encoder it is possible only manually, having found the given files.

Copy and paste the text of the web page

But, in my opinion, forget analog TV without hardware encoder. Mediaportal don't support now and never do it.:sorry:
