hey guys, i've just been following your discussion lately and I was wondering, if one could achieve an PS3 like background animation in MP,
'cause I really like the looks of the PS3 animation.

cheers

Living where I do and not having a PS3, I'm not sure what background animation it has. Is it like Vista's dreamscape?

    Hey joystick

after seeing your post I looked around and found this:

The screen saver is called XMB Wave Screensaver (XMB Wave Screen saver by AgentOrange). The background colour, background opacity, wave height, wave speed etc can be changed.

On my test PC I've used the MultiShortcut plugin (MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - MultiShortcut) to add a button to the Home screen that starts the screen saver, as well as having it start automatically (which gives the overlay effect shown above).

Also (to get this thread back on topic) I've just added a fading selection bar to the home screen in the BleazleWide skin using the method sa_ddam213 posted earlier in the thread. Combined with the fading hover images it gives a more subtle look when scrolling through the menu :) If anyone wants to check it out (you'll need the BleazleWide skin) you can download the fading image files from here (they're not included in the current version of the skin): https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/bleazle-311/animated-hover-images-selection-bar-57443/
