Another "No URL" Thread (1 Viewer)

Wondering if someone can lend a hand.

I am trying to cut the cable at my household and Online Videos is going to be a major factor.

Many of my sites are not working and have the standard No URL error.

Attached is my OV log.

Anyone have any thoughts?

There's not much of use in that log. You need to set MP's log verbosity to Debug (General->Log verbosity) and post the log after trying to play a couple of different videos. You'll also want to post your 'MPUrlSourceSplitter.log'.

When I had problems with 'no url' errors it was codec related caused by ffdshow I think. I have had the best results by uninstalling ffdshow and just using Lav Filters, it's included with the OV installer but not installed by default (you can also get it as a separate plugin).

OK, finally found some time to sit down and try this again.

I uninstalled SAF6.11 and re-installed it but didn't select to install the FFDSHOW codecs but when I go to my select my codecs in config, it still shows up.

I changed the logs and have included them below.

Any more thoughts?

It looks like a problem with those particular sites - The Food Network returns a not found error when trying to load http://www.foodnetwork.ca/video/ and Slice seems to return an empty url too.

I get an empty url from Slice because I am geo-locked, if you open http://release.theplatform.com/cont..._f265s95XdkEllc_sbpVxcTu&format=SMIL&mbr=true in a text editor do you see any error relating to an incorrect geographical location?
