Another request for Harmony remote help (1 Viewer)

Hi

I asked this question in an older existing thread but realise the original question was in the wrong forum, so here goes.

I have searched the forum for this but have not seen an effective answer.

I have the Harmony 885 and am keen to see how this can be set up with MediaPortal. I also have a Logitech s510 media keboard with a remote and ir attachment to receive the signal if that helps me somehow. I set up my Harmony 525 quite easily on members.harmonyremote.com where I could either type in the remote I wanted my harmony to emulate, or i could use the original remote to identify the product.

Check it out, and report back if there are any problems!

Same for my 885. I tell the remote to emulate the MCE Remote and everything works fine .

hey there.

i also have a harmony 525, but i've got some troubles with it. i'm using my imon ir/vfd as ir receiver and the commands from the imon pad remote are really fast, but the commands from the harmony are delayed so mediaportal seems to be less responsive. i tried to set the command delay of the harmony to 0ms, but this didn't helped out...so i wonder what kind of ir receiver you guys are using?

I actually use two recievers. One USB-connected reciever that came with my sapphire theatrix 550 card. This reciever is discovered in the startup process, so i can use it to select OS in an multiboot environment. The second came with my hauppauge hvr-1300. The hauppauge was overreactive when navigating MP, but the USB-reciever is perfect for that out of the box, so that I didn't need to configure the hauppauge reciever in MP setup.

I suppose you have treid all the different tweaks and helping-guides on the harmony website? I havent used them much, just registered that there is quite a bit to configure, if you like...

yes indeed i tried a lots of hidden tweaks (oh boy they are hidden) in the harmony setup-"software". but the problem is still there: a VERY slow reponse of the imon ir receiver. i really should pick up another ir receiver, cause i think this problem isn't caused by the harmony.
does anyone has a (reasonable priced) suggestion for me? i would prefer a usb device.
