Antec Fusion VFD (2 Viewers)

Hi PSYDuck or someone else

I am also now the happy owner of an Antec Fusion v2. I would really like the VFD to work and show what is going on in the mediaPortal. I have try to enable as described by PSYDuck (2007-01-25, 09:35) above:

Configuration->Plugins
Activate "External Display"
Select IMON, 2 Rows, 16 Characters USB. (something like that)

But it is not working.

Unfortunately the link in the answer from PSYDuck does not work any longer.

So which drivers do I need? The VFD driver that follows the Antec or som other drivers? How Do I avoid that the SW from Antec has the control and shows weather information instead?

I don't have a Fusion case but I do have a Silverstone one with a iMon VFD, which may (or may not) work in a similar manner.

A couple of things I can suggest:

Firstly, bear in mind in the External Display plugin there are now 3 different iMon plugins (if you are using a recent version of MediaPortal). There is the iMon VFD, the SoundGraph iMon VFD USB Driver V1.0 and the SoundGraph iMon Integrated USB VFD/LCD Driver V1.0.

I used to use the "Type" of SoundGraph iMon VFD USB Driver V1.0 in the plugin and I had to set the display to accept commands from 3rd party software in the SoundGraph iMon application software. Since the SoundGraph iMon Integrated USB VFD/LCD Driver V1.0 has be written and is in the plugin, I now have uninstalled the SoundGraph application and just use this driver.

Not sure if this will help or not but might be worth a go if you haven't already.

Thank you very much for your answer It now works. I was not aware of that several imon plugins are available. I now use SoundGraph iMon VFD USB Driver V1.0 without any configuration changes and it works. !!!

The antec also has a wheel for controlling the volume. That wheel is still not working. Does anyone has a solution for that?

I am glad it worked.

I thought I read a while ago that the drivers did not support both the display and volume dial outside of MCE. I am not sure if this has changed so you may want to search further to see if this is the case or not.

The VFD and volume knob on my Antec fusion both work.
I get either the currently active menu option or the played media.
Just by coincidence I got the graphic equalizer on my VFD but this also stopped working without any obvious reason.
