I am new to Media Portal and have managed (with help) to get a populated EPG. I am using MP1 v1.7., am based in the UK and am getting EPG content from "Freesat". And it all appears to be working.

My issue is, that when I try to record "Record every time on this channel" it only sets up for the single instance that I have set the record on. I am trying to set up recording for the World Cup, and the Program Title structure seems to being set up as "World Cup: <Team A> v <Team B>, so every instance in the EPG is effectively a unique name.

Is this a case of me doing something stupid, or do I need some form of plug-in/patch or is it just not possible?

I have done a little bit of an investigation and have gone down a path of adding a plug-in "TvWishList", but that's another story as I don't seem to get past an error where an xml file is missing.

Any guidance very gratefully received, but as a it of newbie please be patient

Ta

I think you have put your finger on the problem since it identifies it as different programmes because of the different titles.

My recommendation would be do a search for 'World Cup:' and then you'll get at least 2 weeks of matches returned, and select all the ones you want to record.

and then search again in a weeks time. Not perfect, but might be quicker than trying to solve this issue.[DOUBLEPOST=1402506901][/DOUBLEPOST]There is a series link branch available that uses the Sky EPG: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...r-including-sky-uk-channel-epg-grabber.96767/

Which would give you the functionality you want, but you would need to do a clean instal

This is a great plugin and covers all sorts of funky schedules though there is a lot to get your head around as a new user.

Your XML problem sounds like it relates to a missing skin file. Check the appropriate skin forum for the file needed or post a request on the TVwishlist thread.

Also you can setup wishlist schedules from within the tv server configuration if needed.
