Any of you use Technotrend 2300 card? (2 Viewers)

I'm really fed up with my FloppyDTV-C and I seriously consider bying a Technotrend Premium C-2300 Hybrid, but I would first like to hear your comments. I believe this card is fully and natively supported in MP, if I have read carefully.

What problems have you encountered (and overcome..)?

No, the FloppyDTV does NOT work flawlessly with MP.

Initially, everything works perfectly, then, mostly after Powerscheduler has woken up the PC from hibernation, problems start to occur: the FloppyDTV disconnects itself from the FireWire bus. The Dutch importer of this product claims that TV Central and ShowShifter do not suffer from this problem.

Sure....I'm convinced this is a driver problem. Not an MP problem.

i have never noticed such a behaviour with my floppydtv.

this sounds like a issue related to your firewire controler.

there are no floppy/fire dtv specific issues except the problem some users have with the remote that is bundled - > Mantis747

No, wish it were true...

All combinations of fw/drivers led to the event that the tuner is no longer available. Really annoying. I tried all patches from the tips&tricks forum. No effect.

Firewire card is Conceptronic Ci1394B with VIA chipset. I read on another forum that losing the tuner is accompanied by a little black box (approximately 30x30 pixels ) in the upper left corner of the screen.

What could that be?

after 10 years of working in this bussiness i DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT COMES FROM VIA :evil:

i could write 10 books of issues that were raised by VIA chipsets.
if you have a friend who owns a PC with a firewire connection, ask him if you can test your floppydtv.
If it works there (and i am sure it will) you know whats the reason for your issues.

I know such disconnect issues from industrial printers.
And 90% of the time the reason was a VIA chipset/driver.
