<blockquote data-quote="Momboner" data-source="post: 893788" data-attributes="member: 98006">Thanks for the tip I have a feeling that was it or if not it was part of the problem whenever I went into settings it wasn't pulling up the database at all.&nbsp;I just went ahead and deleted the database and am having it start over making it.....takes forever though lol so I will have an update on it tomorrow.&nbsp;On a side note not sure if this is even a software problem maybe its hardware but Ill give it a try -&nbsp;Whenever I wake the htpc and media portal starts - mytvseries is always doing its import thing - which seems to bog the system down but the thing that drives me nuts is sometimes when I am watching a show the episode will lag a bit like tiny skips or whatever.&nbsp; It usually only happens during the first bit of the episode then it smooths out.&nbsp; But it happens even when mytvseries isnt importing the bar can be gone in the top right and it will still do it a bit it seems..... although not as much.&nbsp;My htpc is fed by another storage computer.&nbsp; It is connected via gigabit connection though and I have tested that and made sure it had full speeds.&nbsp;Do you think its the htpc (being to slow or dated) or the storage computer (to slow) or the size of the database that just lags it up (coming in at around 12TB now)&nbsp;HTPC has a Athlon II X2 2.8ghz 4gb ram and Nvidia 430Storage is a Athlon 64 X2 2.6 2gb ram&nbsp;I dont know if I simply just need a better HTPC to stream video smoother or if there is something I can do to make Mediaportal more efficient with what I have.&nbsp; Or if because of how many files I have if thats just the way it will be.</blockquote>
