I have been having a problem occasionally with Hauppauge cards ever since I can remember. I had this sometimes with my PVR-USB2 but mainly I am just worried about the 950Q.
Basically it's hooked up to the USB port using the USB extension cable that arrived with it.
Now for some reason every now and then, usually at random, the card becomes inaccessible, and nothing fixes it, except sometimes a USB replug but mainly a reboot of the PC. The WinTV's own software had this issue but MediaPortal normally doesn't.
I have unchecked for USB "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" but not sure if I am missing any other options.
Is there someway with MediaPortal itself or the OS of Win 7 even to "reinitialize" the card, so I don't keep wondering if I am going to get my recordings (I check the PC remotely so hard to replug/reboot sometimes)?
