Still don't like the looks of the dialog. It somehow introduces a whole different color scheme (which I could cope with but that blue ... o_O) and why in the world does the selected item have to overlapp?

After some testing i think ge2301 agreed the generic button style was not needed after all, it just required the non focused item text to have less opacity.
From only the screenshots I'm not so convinced about the "blue focus shape" yet . For the list views it won't be so necessary I think.
For menus and banner views it can be an option. For the cover view I preferred previous white frame.

But I don't want to judge too early. I have to try it once after coming back. :)

Yep cover view should have the white frame.

I've reworked focus handling to match designs:
In top "group tab" menu the selected item label is now full opaque (100%), non selected half transparent (50%). The border around appears now for focused item (to still have the distinction between "selected" and "focused").

Also the grid view now uses the former border again. I used a wrong condition (CoverView, not GridView).

Btw, do we plan to a "Cover view" again as we had in Titanium?

BTW, how can I access the menu, where I can select which filter or view to use (left hidden menu on Titanium)? ATM I change the skin, adjust the settings and change the skin again...

It's still bound on "right click" (or "info" key).

But now MediaItems have their own action located there. This means you have to focus any "non-MediaItem" to be able to open hidden menu. Using mouse it is easy of course, a lot free room around media items. But with remote you would have to focus i.e. top group items.

I don't like this behavior but haven't found a smarter solution. Only thing I can imagine is to add a new MediaItemAction "Open menu"...
