Hi.

If I want to see only unwatched movies,

This is not the normal use case here. I really want to see all I have but also want to have a hint if I have seen this before. This will have influence on the decision what to watch next, but it's definitely not the primary key.
On series it's even more needed, as there are lots of episodes...

To see what Item has focus is more than clear due to the bigger list item, the poster, the star rating,... What else do you need or want here???? No need to alter anything in this area imho.

Ok, this is a valid argument. But still think different colors won't be the best solution, I'll think about it deeper, perhaps there is another solution.
In poster view it's at least possible by red tabs already.

Once again. You see a static screenshot! When scrolling quickly through the list it's confusing, this is what I faced. Poster, star rating does not change it. Perhaps it's only me, but currently It's also only me who can try it in MP2 After I pushed to a new branch, try it.
Additionally the genre color of the focused item is not as white as it should be. I want to fix this. Perhaps this already sets the focus clearer

I agree with ge2301 - even with pic and star it's not comfortable to find - alternative - how abot giving it a top and bottomline like in mediahub? The Frame is a nogo - compared to the rest of the design and as I understood also differnt color is not to be liked?

Another question - scroll indicator - compared to the very slimm design of the lines this point stand out very aggressive - how about using a small line instead?

Scroll indicator is fine the circle just needs to be a little smaller.
Colour is an option but again it also needs testing against the non focused items being less visible too i will look at the design but i'm also getting tired of saying it needs building first then minor things like these can be looked at after.

I was thinking also in this direction. I added 2 lines quickly in photoshop. Perhaps they can be little thinner and they are not so agressive compared to the previous box. Just an idea though

Ok, I wont implement it. I could at least make the focused genre white, so it looks much better.
Generally I think we can discuss ideas here. But it seems everybody has different opinions about minor details. Let's collect ideas and especially wiz can think how to implement those in a consistant way to the design.

you got AA enabled ?

AA is disabled. I also see that the edges are not looking so well. With AA I have currently some problems. I believe with DX11 implementation it can look better

Go for it the focused should be white and the unfocused a little more transparent than it is now

Makes sense i just wondered why the edges etc were jagged thats all
