When instaling Media Portal 1.0 and pressing the "Prefrom a One Click Installation" I get an error message of "There was an error downloading the requested file". The link listed in the download window is "http://install.team-mediaportal.com/deploytool/applicationlocations.xml".

Going directly to "http://install.team-mediaportal.com/deploytool/applicationlocations.xml" in a web browser shows that the file does not exist.

I have this same problem... how can I correct the URL?

It tells me to check my Internet Explorer settings but... I don't know what's wrong with it.

I'm getting same error. I'm using XP pro SP3

do you have comodo or some other 3rd party firewall installed?

That's how I fixed mine... I uninstalled comodo (my trial was about to be over anyway and I had no real use for it)... then restarted my computer and tried the MP installation again-- sure enough, it worked perfectly

Yes, I have comodo firewall and I'm up and running now. Thanks. I didn't know that Comodo has a trail period. I have been running it for couple of years now.

haha I meant the "pro version" trial, sorry... but yeah, it's most likely comodo that's preventing it somehow! good luck~
