Asus (with Philips chipset) 7133/4 remote not working? (1 Viewer)

I can't get the Philips 7133/4 to work with Media Portal. I got it working for like a minute when pressing Next/prev channel buttons but now it won't work.
It's a USB remote, don't know what it's model name is.
Works great with InterVideo Home Theater but then HOme Theater sucks bigtime =/

Hi,

MP supports nativly only the MCE and Hauppauge remotes.

You have to setup your remote software, to work with MP. Or you can try to use Girder.

Thanks, but I don't have any remote software, it works directly through USB with InterVideo. And what is Girder?

Hi,

if you have the silver remote, you can use the small program listed in the following thread http://nolanparty.com/mediaportal.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6574.

It captures the keypresses of the silver remote and maps them to MP keypresses. The black USB remote will not work.

It would be handy to continue this thread in the thread above so everything about this subject is concentrated.
