MediaPortal Version: 0.2.0.4
Windows Version: XP SP2
1. TV Card: ATI HDTV Wonder

Im having a problem getting any audio/video off the analoge side of the HDTV Wonder. The ATI TV software works perfectly. Media Portal's TV autotune detects the channels, but doesnt display them (no video or audio).

i checked this page:
http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Supported_TVCard_Hybride/ATIHDTVWonder

ATI no longer provides their Windows XP Media Center Edition Encoder - they've removed all links to it from their website and I cant find it anywhere else on the web, so I hope it's not required for Media Portal to work with my card.

I've spend way too much time trying to resolve this issue. Already tried various versions of the card's driver, and various versions of ATI's Multimedia Center.

Any ideas?

That is unfortunate. Well, if the card requires special software that is no longer availible to work with Media Portal, perhaps it should be removed from the Supported Cards list....I just bought this card yesterday - had I known of the problem, I wouldnt have.

Wishywashy, Paul, thanks for the help.

Unfortunately this doesn’t resolve the issue. I've already tried installing that encoder you linked to WishyWashy (i've tried both the original and updated versions of all the software that came with the card).

As for the driver you provided a link to Paul, it's actually the exact same driver that's provided for WinXp Pro. I've tried this updated driver as well as the pre-packaged one...to no avail.

What was assuming the Media Portal wiki was referring to, when it said you needed ATI's MCE Encoder, was the software encoder ATI made for it's tv-tuners to work properly with Windows MCE. Referring to this page:
    http://ati.de/products/faqs/windowsxpmcefaq.html#4

it seems they no longer provide it.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

If all you need is the atimcenc.dll file, have you tried to get it from MMC 9.13 . I have that version on my WMCE 2005 PC.

I zipped the Data1.cab folder and uploaded it for you. I hope this helps.
