I don't see in the wiki that MP supports the ATI Theater 650 Pro yet. Are there plans on adding support for it?

If so do you need to have a STB in order to view/record Digital Cable channels on it? (I'm in the US and have time warner cable with the digital tier, no HDTV channels.)

I tried searching in the forums, but nothing is coming back with results. Is there something wrong with search?

That seems to be a rumor. The ATI theater 650 Pro is still available and ready to buy at several retailers, both online and stores.

If the story was for real, ATI would have an official press release here:
http://ir.ati.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=105421&p=irol-news

(there's no mention of it whatsoever on the whole ATI site..so I don't think it's a "total recall" )

Maybe we'll hear more about it in the next few days..hopefully it's only on the best buy shipments.

Is there any other cards available that can tune directly from the cable line, without a STB, or is it even possible?

That link is old news. Right when the 650 came out, it was recelled within a month. The new versions were all released within another month. I bought mine a few weeks ago from "BestBuy". They had several. It works like a champ. No problems in the release build of MP. - I'm just using the drivers it comes with.

Does your card work with both the ATSC and analog? I cannot make MP detect the ATSC tuner despite having a know working tuner in Catalyst Media Center and Vista Media Center
