I was looking at supported cards and noticed that there are a few ATI cards but not the ATI TV Wonder Pro being supported. I was wondering if anybody has tried to get mediaportal to work with this card. I thought I could try and get it to work myself following the guide but I noticed some things were different.

Under the BDA Reciever Component I cant find one that relates to the ATI TV Wonder Pro. Under ones that start with WDM Streaming I do have the ATI TV Wonder listed so I am wondering if it is one of those that I should use?

If anybody has an idea of what I am doing wrong please please help me. I love this software but I just want the stupid tv to work.

If you need more information just let me know I will check the forums frequently.

The above filter won't work as the Tv WONDER pro uses different drivers than the TV wonder pci/ve.

You need to ensure that the ATI 6.6encoder package is installed and the reulting three Media Center encoders are installed .

Also you need to check that the device id for your card is represented in the above filter construct.

There is a thread for the AIW sticky (last three pages are agood read) that explains about graphedit and how to get the inforequired

I tried it and looked for the device id for mine and put it in the capturecarddefinitions.xml I opened that up in text editor just pasted the above stuff in but it was a no go. I still get an error saying like no tv tuner found or something like that. Its been a few days since Ive tried it because of school and the fact that I thought maybe it would be a good idea if I formatted and started again to make sure things were cleaned up.

use the graph edit that is provided by this site it shows the device descriptions.
Then ur suppose to connect the dots.

http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33792569 I used this site as a guide find a card the works some what the same way and follow what they did.
Then run the graph if it out puts a display that means U got it working. I did get mine to render but mediaportal just doesnt find my card. Wish they would use dscalers method of detecting tv tuners at least the analog cards.
