Hello,

Anyone using an Atom D525 with NM10 (GMA 3150) rig for Media Portal?
Is it able to playback 1080p materials stutter free?

Or is the Ion the only way to go if I want a low power consumption HTPC?

Br,
Daniel

Zotac actually sell a separate pcie x1 'ION' card for that mobo, which is a little curious.

I was seriously considering this board, it seemed the perfect DTX offering BUT there has been such a stink about the onboard SATA on the Zotac forms that I gave it a miss. The 4 black ports are hung off a JMicron port multiplier and it seems the first drive to be initiated is really slow compared to the others.

I think you should go for an AMD Fusion setup. About the same performance as Atom D525 + ION 2, but cheaper.

ATOM ION 330 boards are cheap as chips now. Make sure you get ION (nvidia 9400) other wise you wont be able to play HD content well.
