In order to fix the "no audio/video" error while trying to timeshift, that was introduced with the new TsWriter we have to have a look at 2 issues:
    - scanning doesn't work correctly
    - timeshifting fails (which is because the scan isn't working correctly)

    Status
    - scanning: still a problem
    - timeshifting: should be fixed

    Update 21.02.2008 10:08
    New TvLibrary.dll and new TsWriter.ax.
    This should fix scanning

    Instructions for testing:
    - Update to the latest SVN.
    - Delete your channels
    - Replace the 2 attached files
    - open a cmd prompt (cmd.exe) and execute "regsvr32.exe <path to tvserver>\TsWriter.ax"
    - Scan for channels
    - Try to timeshift channels
    - Report your findings

I'm wondering if you could repost this as a zip? I'm having trouble getting the rar to open. I'm using Zipeg v 2.1.0.852 and it gives me an unkown format error.

I will try it to see if it resolves my issue... which is starting MP in full screen. then going to MyTV, and displaying TV in full window.. With timeshift unselected, I still get black screen, but with sound. I switch back to small TV and deselect/select TV again, go to full window and I get no picture or sound. Then I have to restart MP to get sound again. I don't have issues if MP is started in window, then switch to full screen. TV displays fine in full screen.

    just odd.

    Thanks

    Chuck

Hi, I reinstalled with the latest svn and did a rescan with gemx tswriter.ax, but I get the no video/audio detected. I'll try going back to version 17278, which was the last working version and getting a ts-dump file. Just for clarity, which folder should I look in for the dump file?

If these are some of the files it's supposed to create it's not creating them when I timeshift.

    C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\raw_paket_dump.ts
    C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\live1-0.ts

Anyway, 'll try going back to the last working version and try again. Oh, I uploaded a different log file because I realized I had timeshifted with more than one channel.

I tried ATSC just now using my own build from the SVN source. I deleted all ATSC channels, rescanned, and set my cards to record as TS. I have only tested for a few minutes, but everything works so far! I even get audio in recordings. I'll test more tonight, but things are looking very good now. Thank you so much gemx and all others who have contributed!

I'm getting some weird results. The channels that are labeled as unencrypted are tuning fine now. These are channels that are labeled as "Unknown" and I'm really not even sure what they even are. The channels that I do get names for are all labeled as encrypted (they're not) and all give me the "no audio/video" error. Here's the log from trying to tune one of the encrypted ones and then one of the unencrypted ones.

Yea, I get the same thing. The ones that show up as red at not the actual channels for some reason, the real ones are all labeled "Unknown XX-XX". I'm not sure why it is like this, I just deleted the red channels and re-named the unknowns.

Ahh, you're right! I didn't even notice that frequencies, but those are the correct channels labeled as unknown.

Here are the tuning details of what is actually the same channel. It's added twice, though. Once as the correct channel name and the second one is labeled as unknown. The unknown one tunes fine while the other one gives "no audio/video".

    Thanks, that helped a lot.
Could you please do the following test.
    - Delete your channels
    - Scan your channels with the last working version (i think rev 17278)
    - Update to latest revision and replace the TsWriter from first post
    - try to timeshift the channels

I think timeshifting should be fixed which this test should show.
If it's true we can concentrate on the scanning issue.
