Hi Folks,

I am ramping up to buy a HTPC and run mediaportal :) - I am considering buying a Core2Duo Mobile (the Merom range) CPU, and using that, as the power consumption is nice and low, which will allow me to make things quieter.

However, I'm having a lot of trouble googling for either ATX or mATX motherboards that will take one of these chips!

Maybe my google-fu is weak. Can anyone give me some information on how to find such a motherboard?

thanks.

I had one. It has it's own cooler. I used it with a Core Solo mobile CPU (T1300) and it was completely noiseless. The disadvantage is that you can use only HDMI displays. CRT is not supported, because it doesn't have S- or composite video out and a VGA to SCART is also unavailable because the stupid Intel VGA blocks PowerStrip to set up custom resolutions. But if you have a HDMI capable plasma or LCD TV you will be happy with this one.
