So it appears we could consider the EventGhost project as an external application.

Bitmonster - Would you mind if we added it to our download section? That is also if it would be approved to be added.

We also may want to start a different thread due to the subject this would be buried and wouldn't be found in the forum.

Surely the EventGhost project won't mind if you add it to MediaPortal's download section.

I don't think we need to open a new thread, as there are already some in this board. EventGhost is an application with similiar goals as Girder, so it has and will be mentioned here and there, now and then if a "remote control" or "automation" topic arises, as another alternative in the context.

Bitmonsters your hint was just what I needed. Appart from having to re-map 36 buttons I have no excuse to keep the RemoteMouse software on my system. Problem fully solved. Thanks others as well for the contributions in this thread.
