I tried out your suggested fix; unfortunately it was unsuccessful. MediaPortal recreated the file successfully, but the behaviour has not altered. I'll try a reboot and an upgrade to the 0.2.3RC1 version of MediaPortal to see if that helps at all...

Nope, no luck there, really. I'm going to try plugging the TV card into my wall socket, rather than into the indoor aerial that it's currently plugged into in the hope that I can get a stronger signal through that.
