Hi there, I have searched thes forums for a couple of days but can not find help to this problem.

Config as at the bottom of message.

My system works fine and is on a completly fresh install after an upgrade, except when I play HD TV or and HD .ts file there is a massive lag between the the audio and video (very poor lip sync). When I press play (or tune to BBC HD / ITV HD), the video starts almost instantly, and then the audio starts about 2 second later and they are instantly out of sync by about 2 seconds (with the video leading the audio). If I press pause button and then unpause, the audio plays for about 2 seconds and then the video starts and things are in sync, however they quickly drift and become almost unsyncronised with an ever increasing difference between the audio and video (always with the video leading the audio).

It is clearly only a problem with .ts .264 format for recordings and live TV since SD TV and video works fine, as do blue ray discs and .264 MKV files which are DTS encoded.

The same channels and films worked fine with my old system with 1.0.2 installed and manually set codecs.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Robbo

Sorry to post without the log before.

This is the TS reader log. I deleted todays log, then ran MP and selected BBC HD and allowed it to play for about 15 seconds prior to manually stopping it.

I think it demonstrates the problem fairly well.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Trying to work out what is going on from my own log it seems that the system is detecting that the audio is in-front of the audio and is intentionally delaying the audio from starting to try to get it synchronised.

What part of the system would be making this "judgement" for me? If it is not the CODECs that I am using, then might it be part of MP which is causing the problem?

If so, might it be a good idea for me to post this on a different part of the forum to get some help?

I would be hugely appreciative of any guidence anyone could give me. :D

    Thanks hoborg,

But what can I do about the streaming of HD TV which is played as a .ts file? Is there anyway that I can change that file type to m2ts within MP?

    Thanks
