Referencing another post that mm was involved with, do you have the Intelligent Frame Control plugin enabled, you need newest version, user has reported blank screen using older one.
I don't have I.F.C plugin enabled, I'm going to try a clean install AGAIN this evening but this time I'll test each plugin for the error as I install them. Hopefully I'll be able to locate the little b*stard that's causing it! I don't think it's Moving Pictures or TV series as somebody else would surely have experienced the same issue. That only leaves Showtimes and Webvideos. All being well, I might be able to finally resolve it tonight and advise what's causing the problem, hopefully this will prevent anyone else having to go through what I have.
I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again for all your help.
Didn't think of that (doh!) I have only just noticed your reply.
Last night I uninstalled MP and all it's components, cleaned the registry with ccleaner and reinstalled. All good!!! until....... the minute I loaded the showtimes plugin two things happened. MP would no longer boot from the tray using the home (start) button on my remote (I had to use keyboard or mouse). Also, every so often my movies would start to play with audio but no video (black screen). This occurred in Moving Pictures, Tv Series, and Online Videos plugin. If I closed MP and reload it, I still couldn't boot from my remote but audio and video would work fine about 50% of the time. If I simply disable the showtimes plugin the problem would remain. The only solution I could find was to completely remove the plugin, everything went back to working fine then. I could boot MP from the tray with my remote and audio and video worked every time.
Bit gutted as I am a massive fan of the Showtimes plugin but removing it was the lesser of two evils. Not sure if this is solely the Showtimes plugin (as other people must have received the same problem) or a conflict between the combination of plugins I have?
However, this solved my issue and hopefully save some one else a lot of time and heartache in the future.
Massive thanks to MM and especially Ray for their assistance, there is no way I would have found a solution on my own.
