    Hi,

Since going up to the stable release, I have had issues on the server (single seat mode) with sync of audio. This appears to get worse as you watch, although I suppose it is more noticeable on certain TV programmes.

I am using HDMI audio from DVI Dsub to HDMI for both picture and sound.

I also have a slight stuttering of picture since this release on occasion, not sure if this is related.

    Logs attached.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi,

    Thanks for the replies.

I just checked TV codecs and audio renderer was blank

Going to test if setting that to, well anything, makes it work.

ThanksChris[DOUBLEPOST=1373489482][/DOUBLEPOST]Ah, interesting. In sync, but now no volume control. I think I am onto the issue now.

OK, all other settings are out of sync or use other outputs (not digital or through HDMI). Sorry, both links wouldn't work for me, not sure why.

So I have MP which is either out of sync, or needs to use separate remote for volume contrrol.

Giving up for now (late), but if anyone has any clue, I am still lost.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hello,

    More info:

    I read this:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...back-display-calibration.119610/#post-1001706

With Use exclusive mode checked (suggested in another post and default in this case), I have no volume control, it comes up on the screen but has no affect on the actual volume.

I remember exclusive mode from using ASIO drivers with audio production. This meant then that no other applications could use the card (eg. windows notifications sunds). I suppose it means the same here, but has the side efect of disabling the ability to change volume in MP? Do I need it?

    More on picture problems:
The screen goes black for one frame, or in essence flickers. This often happens when using the second screen to do anything graphical - such as moving a window or scrolling a webpage in Firefox. This was not an issue in the previous version. I have also noticed this happen when MP is in the TV guide, only the text draws after the background.

I am about to install windows 8 on my server and one remaining XP client, so can do a fresh install of MP then to see if something has got screwed up in my system, but would still like to solve this as these kinds of issues tend to re-occur for me and I usually have to find a solution in the end anyway.

    EDIT:
I have changed the audio renderer to all different settings, but this makes no difference.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Thanks kiwijunglist.

I also updated my graphics card driver (which also updated the on-board HDMI sound driver) and this seemed to fix many issues.

    Feeling slightly silly!
